Dear OSU Students and Parents:

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education have approved tuition and fee rates for 2005-06 and this web site will help you determine the cost of attending Oklahoma State University and answer many of your questions.

Even with modest increases this year, OSU remains the best buy in the Big XII. Our average annual in-state student costs for tuition and mandatory fees will be $4,365, which is 83 percent of the current Big XII average.

We were pleased the state increased appropriations this year by 5.3 percent, but that was not enough to cover the university's operating expenses and priorities, which include restoring faculty positions lost during several years of budget cuts and rewarding current faculty. Faculty, of course, are the key to a quality education.

After careful review and consideration, tuition will increase by 6.5 percent at OSU-Stillwater and OSU-Tulsa. Non-resident tuition will increase by 9 percent. Certain fees also will go up.

Exact costs will depend on individual course loads, majors, classification and residency status. You also may submit questions.
